Rangroots connects artisans from vulnerable communities with global markets, preserving traditional crafts while creating sustainable livelihoods.
To empower artisans from vulnerable communities by providing them with fair market access, preserving traditional crafts, and creating sustainable livelihoods that honor their cultural heritage.
A world where traditional craftsmanship is valued and preserved, where artisans receive fair compensation for their work, and where consumers understand the stories and impact behind their purchases.
"Every product we sell represents not just a beautiful craft, but a story of resilience, heritage, and hope for the future."
— Manya Khera, Founder
The journey of Rangroots began with a simple observation and a powerful vision to make a difference.
Rangroots was born from Manya Khera's school project that quickly evolved into a passionate mission. While researching traditional Indian crafts for an assignment, Manya discovered the challenges faced by artisans from vulnerable communities – prison inmates seeking rehabilitation, tribal craftspeople struggling to preserve their heritage, and senior artisans watching their generational skills fade away.
What began as academic research transformed into a platform connecting these talented artisans with appreciative global markets. Manya's vision was simple yet powerful: create a bridge between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary consumers while ensuring artisans receive fair compensation and recognition.
Today, Rangroots works with over 200 artisans across India, providing them with design guidance, quality control, marketing support, and direct market access. Each product tells a story of cultural heritage, personal transformation, and sustainable livelihood.
We believe in a holistic approach that honors tradition while embracing innovation and sustainability.
We prioritize eco-friendly, locally-sourced materials that minimize environmental impact while supporting local economies.
We ensure artisans receive fair compensation for their work and maintain ethical working conditions.

From a school project to a thriving social enterprise, explore the key milestones in our growth.
Rangroots started as Manya's school project, focusing on documenting traditional craft techniques at risk of being lost.
Launched first collection of products at school fair, partnered with 15 artisans, and established online presence through social media.
Expanded to work with 75 artisans across three vulnerable communities. Received Young Entrepreneur Award and featured in national media.
Now working with over 200 artisans, launched e-commerce platform, and established training programs for skill development and knowledge transfer.
Every purchase creates ripple effects that transform lives and communities.
